Nature comes back to life
Spring in Quebec is the maple syrup and love season. During this gorgeous season, nature seems to come back to life. Snow melts slowly, rivers and lakes release the thick ice that covered them during several months, and falls and rivers overflow with water to offer visitors a picture-perfect sight as well as a playground for rafting and river kayaking lovers.
The trees bud and bloom, flowers put on their vivid colours, while migratory birds come back on the banks of the St. Lawrence River on their journey to the north. Restaurant terraces open their doors to locals and visitors, transforming the streets into lively backyards. The sap of the maple trees is flowing freely and sugar shacks invite parents and friends to have a wonderful typical Quebec meal in a warm atmosphere.
Spring is also a great season to still go skiing or snowboarding. Snow conditions are excellent, and the warm weather heats up the skiers. In the spring, the sun offers a warm and direct light that heats up the ground as well as people’s hearts. Animals come out of their hibernation stage and start visiting us again. Everyone seems to be joyful in the spring, and nature puts on its best attire, that you can joyfully rediscover each year.
