Cycling
Quebec is the ideal place to do road bicycle or mountain biking. In the city or in the country, you can roll on the Route Verte cycling path and travel through almost every region of Quebec, from north to south and from east to west. Numerous cycling paths have been built in the cities to allow you to visit most of the attractions.
Some cycling paths, like the P'tit Train du Nord in the Laurentides, offer luggage transportation, for those who would like to do long distance bicycle touring. The Véloroute des Bleuets, for its part, allows you to visit all the attractions located around the lac Saint-Jean. Campgrounds are often located along the roads, or you can sleep in bed and breakfasts or hotels that bear the "Welcome cyclists" sign, which indicates that these establishments offer all the services cyclists need.
If you are a biker and a thrill lover, numerous mountain biking centres as well as most of ski resorts have trails for the enthusiasts. Mont-Sainte-Anne in Québec or the Centre de ski Bromont in the Eastern Townships have a really good reputation with professional mountain bikers and they both host national and international competitions.
