 The concept of health centres has existed for many years now. During the 18th century, health centres were mainly used as rest houses for the sick, especially those suffering from tuberculosis. These centres were located in the suburbs of the cities, in a place where the air was pure and fresh.
Today, health centres and spas have changed a little. The basic concept remained the same, which is a place to relax far from the hustle-bustle of the city. On the other hand, there is a larger variety of cares offered. Most of the regions of the province have health centres or spas, like the Laurentides, the Eastern Townships and the Charlevoix regions.
You can choose among numerous cares in the health centres like the massages, the wrappings, the exfoliations or the balneotherapy, among others. In most centres, you can even choose to get a massage with your loved one, a great and different experience!
