 This has been one of the most popular activities in Quebec for several years now. Visitors come from everywhere in the Americas and Europe to see the St. Lawrence whales, these wonderful sea giants. These animals are simply fascinating by their huge size. In the St. Lawrence River, you will not only see whales, but also seals, porpoises and dolphins.
Several companies offer cruises in either comfortable boats or zodiacs, for the more adventurous ones. During these safe cruises, you are always accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide who will comment on the excursion and on everything you will see during your day! These naturalists know whales very well and can then teach you much about their way of life.
Most whale cruises leave from Tadoussac or Baie-Sainte-Catherine in Manicouagan and Charlevoix, but others leave from Montréal and from Québec as well, among which some offer a romantic dinner aboard.
