Regional Products
Quebec abounds with tasty local products, which are different in each region. The reputation of some of these products is firmly established, like that of the blueberries of lac Saint-Jean, the cranberries of Centre-du-Québec, the emu of Charlevoix or the lobsters of the Îles-de-la-Madeleine. These products are always fresh if they are picked or bought in the regions where they are grown or bred.
Products of first transformation, like ciders, wines, cheese, or those that have undergone a bigger transformation, like the emu or bison meat, fruit jams or honey products all have their local flavour, which gives them a unique taste. The regional producers know how to profit from the earth's products, which gives these products their exceptional Quebec taste.
Some regions where these products are made even invite you to sample their creations, like the Musée de l'Abeille in Côte-de-Beaupré, the Laiterie Charlevoix or the Vignoble de la Rivière du Chêne in the Laurentides.
