Fruit Picking

Fruit PickingIn Quebec, numerous farms and plantations invite you to pick your own fresh fruit and vegetables directly where they are grown. Apple picking is by far the most known, since is has been done for several years already. Lately, farms and plantations that grow fruit and vegetables have decided to open their doors to visitors who wish to pick their own goods. Now you can pick your own strawberries on the Île d'Orléans, your raspberries in Montérégie, your blueberries in lac Saint-Jean and even your pumpkins for Halloween in some regions! This out-of-the-ordinary activity is perfect for the family, or for a day spent with friends. Take advantage of a warm summer day or of a cool autumn day to pick your own fruit and eat them, or cook them in pies, jams or preserves.
