Sports events
Quebec is a very sportive province and hosts important sports competitions of all kinds. Hockey is probably the sports that Quebecers watch the most. The Canadiens games at the Centre Bell are always very popular, just like those of the junior hockey league in several regions of Quebec. Football is becoming more and more popular, especially university football. Games are normally played from September to November and they draw great many people.
You can also attend the world cups, like the Coupe du monde de surf des neiges in Québec, which hosts a section, or the Vélirium in Mont-Sainte-Anne, where professional mountain bikers compete in several competitions. During the Carnaval de Québec, the Tournoi international de hockey Pee-Wee is an event that draw people from all over the world, since teams from 16 different countries compete on the Colisée Pepsi ice.
Other sports events take place during the year, like the different horse competitions, or the extreme sports competitions, like the 24 heures of Mont-Sainte-Anne or Mont-Tremblant.
