Historic Sites: MauricieOnly one historic site welcomes you in the Mauricie region. Come visit the Old Prison of Trois-Rivières, a prison that welcomed numerous inmates in the 1960s and the 1970s. During your visit, a former inmate will be your guide to explain you the conditions of custody, but also the Quebec prison system at the time. Visit the cells, the hole and the dungeon!

Centre et circuit Félix-Leclerc
Félix Leclerc lived from 1914 to 1988, and the heritage he left is now a great part of Quebec's culture. Come discover his work and life in this interpretation centre. You will also learn more about the life of the region's inhabitants.
Domaine seigneurial Sainte-Anne (historical seigneury site)
The 18th century invites you to this typical manor, where two influential women from the region welcome you. You will meet Madeleine de Verchères, who was the Sainte-Anne master, and Elizabeth Halle.
Galerie d'art du Parc / Manoir de Tonnancour
Visit this rich site of the past. The manor allows visitors to fully appreciate the talent of the builders and the artists of the epoch, while the art gallery presents works of art by international artists who work with different kinds of art.
Magasin général Le Brun
Visit this unique museum in Quebec, which is made of three general stores dating back to different epochs. You can visit them, but also see a 1,600-piece artefact collection. Take advantage of the guided tour to learn more about the history of the region.

Moulin Saint-Louis (old mill)
The Ursulines built this mill in 1758. It is the only mill of its type built in the region to be still in use. During your guided visit, you will see the miller grind wheat and buckwheat using traditional methods. You can also buy some fresh products from the mill at the boutique.
Moulin seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac
The interpreter guides will tell you the story of this flour millbuilt that was built during the seigniorial regime. They will also teach you the grinding process of turning wheat into flour. You can visit the exhibitions for a better understanding of how the mill works.
Old prison of Trois-Rivières
Old prison of Trois-Rivières
Welcome in the prison life of the 1960s and the 1970s in Quebec. Here, former prisoners will give you a tour of the prison and tell you about the prison life from their experience. You can visit all the sections of the prison, including the “hole” and the dungeons.
