Visit the first shipyard to be built on the South shore. It was opened from 1829 to 1989, and most of the inhabitants of the city used to work there. The guided tour of the site will make you discover the history of the Davie family as well as the different trades related to shipyards.
Maison J.-A.-Vachon
This ancestral house is home to the interpretation centre of the well-known business family in Sainte-Marie. You will learn more about the history of the Vachon family as well as about their business. You will see how the delicious little cakes are made and also see the oldest wedding cake in the world.
